It is always much nicer to write my daily clerkmanifesto essay at the library. That way I can enjoy the evening with my wife without having the writing project hang over the night, ending up causing me to venture into the wee hours to get it done instead of properly sleeping. But here I am at the library with just 15 minutes to go before the library closes and I've got nothing!
Nothing funny or interesting has happened today at work.
Oh, there was that one person at the front desk who had to tell me her library card number and did it like this:
Four....
Two....
Eight....
sixnineeightfivethreeohninetwofive.
And I thought seriously about writing on that incident.
But I like to think you expect more from clerkmanifesto.
I do.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.
I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!
One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
