Acid falls

I guess I just keep accidentally dropping my rolls of film into weird vats of toxic radioactive waste.

Why does this keep happening to me?

And my photographs are much too precious to simply throw away, so I fish out the roll of film, dry it off, and take it to the picture developers, the expensive professional ones who will take good care.

That's my story, and if that's my story then this is the first roll of film that I dropped in radioactive acid. You've seen other images, out of order, but here's the first ones, from our trip up to the waterfall above the city.

I am now of course tempted to go back and dip every picture I've ever taken into this fluid, but we'll just set these pictures out for you to look at now and take a break. I have to pack for a wild European apartment search. Trains! Exotic cities! Weird food! Sketchy airbnbs! Who knows what kind of pictures I'll be posting here next.

Well, it'll probably be more like this, but stranger things have happened here at clerkmanifesto.

(note that seems vaguely important to mention: these are real places, but the colors might be a bit... different than they at first appeared)

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
