Perhaps it's my way of eagerly anticipating Fall, and its epicenter, Halloween?
Whatever it is, I am, as you read this, probably still wandering through Europe somewhere, and my increasingly complexly layered picture project of our last collection of travels has been interrupted by my travelling again. So today's set of pictures, from trains and of a more northern France, are pulled from my "I'm still working on them, but now don't think I will be anymore" pile.
I don't think I really had anything more to do with these anyway, and so am happy to use them to hopefully create some life in clerkmanifesto for another busy late Summer day.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!
One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
