A post comprehensible to people of a certain age









I am not old yet, but I am old enough to experience the frequent "gee whiz" moments like: 

"I can't believe our new Doctor is young enough to be our daughter!"

I am not old yet, but I am also old enough to experience how when I tell people about "gee whiz" moments like: 

"I can't believe our new Doctor is young enough to be our daughter!" 

they look at me like:

"Yeah, so, why wouldn't they be?"

Unless they're of the right age to simply shake their head, and click their tongue in mute understanding.

    My professor this semester is two years older than my daughter. And four members of this 16-member class are high school kids taking the class for dual credit.

    I feel a little old in there sometimes.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
