The secret symbol of clerk manifesto

If we could sort down to the secret heart of clerkmanifesto, we would find the bugheart. It is a symbol I created in the late eighties and it expresses some artistic, cultural, and religious sensibility in me that has remained true for all these years. And so if you dug down through the soft loam of my recent posts, to the hard packed dirt of older ones, and to places now long past enough to have ossified almost to bedrock to chip through, you would come to these ancient clay tablets that everything has been piled on, though that you may never have seen them in any way plainly uncovered before. The bugheart.

And what is a bugheart?

I have enclosed some samples at your request.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
