Sorry, no blog post today

I'm sorry, but I'm not feeling well. I won't be able to blog today. It started with just a little ragged sore throat, and I thought I might be able to get a short blog post off today, just about anything, but before I could even get some warm liquids in me I started to get kind of achy, and now I think I'm a little stuffed up. I could probably muddle through a blog post if I had to, but I don't think it would turn out as good as it should, and these early, alarming, booming coughs would only make an already perfunctory blog post harder for you to read. Also, I might be contagious, and I don't want to get everyone else here sick. You should probably wash your hands after reading just this. So, anyway, I think it's probably best if I just, you know, rest up, drink a lot of fluids, that sort of thing. My voice is starting to go anyway, so, yeah, this is definitely the right thing to do. Could you just let everyone there reading my blog know that there will be no blog post today? Thanks. Yeah, I hate to do it, but I think it's the right decision. Trust me, you do not want this. I'm pretty sure I'm running a slight fever. I'm going back to sleep. If I feel better in the afternoon maybe I'll write some rough drafts of blog posts in bed. I'll check back in with you tomorrow. Hopefully this is just one of those 24 hour things.

  1. Take care of yourself. I have the worst sore throat I have ever had. Scary how many "remedies" I have tried in the past 36 hours. Finally decided to gargle with peroxide and believe it or not, I am starting to feel better. I think I am. I hope. I'm not coughing, but pretty achy, running a temp. So glad I can stay in because every time I swallow, I cry a little bit. This too shall pass. Painfully like a kidney stone. You get better soon!

  2. Wot?! Do you think I care if I'm exposed to your disease? That is absurd. I'm flabbbergasted by the mere thought of you neglecting the day's post! My schadenfreud? I don't care what you call my intention. You are impelled to post, you must!!!

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
