Short theology

I have been hanging out with the gods again. They are down on the river with me. They drop by for a visit. They tell me accurate things I can't do much with. And they show off their magic tricks. They break my heart and do me favors in the same moment.

Fancy! Well, they are gods after all.

But,

Deep down the gods are the same as people, which is the problem.

  1. They seem to loosen up a bit if you offer the nice ephemeral things like flowers and incense. I advice getting their signatures down to prove receipt. You might need to prove to the Government that you're not some kind of heathen.

    1. Thank you for your suggestions. I particularly like the idea of getting receipts for offerings to the gods. But they hardly ever seem to find the same things funny as I do.

    1. Yes, wild turkeys are people too. Especially if they're acting as spirit animals, which they do, like, all the time!

    1. Yes. It is my assertion that our only hope is to make fun of them, kind of (but only sort of) like with Presidents.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
