Stickied, the second attempt

In order to prepare for a two week trip with my lovely wife to Rome it is necessary for me to write 20 blog posts ahead of time. I don't have a lot of time to do this. I'm not sure I actually have any time to do this. But I have made a sacred charter, somewhere, I think, that says I must post a new blog post everyday.

Why must I do this? Why must I post every day, for no money and to an acclaim that mocks me by lurking in the land of death?

It is maybe:

It's like I have a fire burning, and I have kept it burning for so long that I'm not sure I know how to start it if it goes out. So it's safer to keep it fed and burning all the time. And then the wild animals will be more respectful in the night.

So I wanted to put a stickied explanation of the desperation of my plight at the top of each of my next twenty blog posts. But this one's a little heavy.

We'll try again tomorrow

Post a Comment

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
