The endlessly inspired joke

I read a joke today that inspired me to write one of my own based on its theme. To give my own joke whatever advantage I can give it we'll start with it first:

Two mirrors are having a difficult conversation. One of the mirrors looks down and mumbles something. The other mirror says,

"Hey, Look me in the eye."

"Hey, Look me in the eye."

"Hey, Look me in the eye."

"Hey, Look me in the eye."

"Hey, Look me in the eye."

"Hey, Look me in the eye."

"Hey, Look me in the eye."

"Hey, Look me in the eye."

"Hey, Look me in the eye."

"Hey, Look me in the eye."

Okay, so here's the joke that made me think of the above one. It's more sophisticated and I sort of ruined it for you by telling my joke first, but I still like it:

M. C. Escher walks into a bar. The bartender says, Escher, I've got a joke for you. Okay, lay it on me. So the bartender says, M. C. Escher walks into a bar. The bartender says, Escher, I've got a joke for you. Okay, lay it one me. So the bartender says, M. C. Escher walks into a bar. The bartender says, Escher, I've got a joke for you. Okay, lay it one me. M.

And those are all my jokes for today.

I mean, I can't go on forever.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
