First Olympic scores are in!

The first Olympic scores are in for competitive Winter Photography. I know you've all been eagerly awaiting the scores for these preliminary rounds and so I wanted to hurry them out to you.

Technical Ice:

7.9, 9.1, 8.2

Cumulative 8.5

6.8, 8.1, 8.3

Cumulative 7.9

Plein Air:

7.1, 8.8, 8.1

Cumulative 8.1

7.4, 8.1, 7.2

Cumulative 7.4

6.5, 9.0, 8.0

Cumulative 8.1

8.5, 9.2, 8.0

Cumulative 8.4

As to what all the scores mean, no one knows due to it being such a new event.

But you can work it out as you will and play whatever National Anthem you like.

  1. I would give the red-blue-green one much higher marks. It's my favorite, for no particular reason. I just like it best.

    1. Well, as I will perhaps too much be pointing out in days to come, subjective scoring is the bane of Olympic sports as far as I'm concerned. But I'm glad you liked that one best.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
