I fixed a bridge

There is a big bridge around here that I often walk across to pass from one side of the Mississippi River to the other.

It is not a terrible bridge. It is sturdily built and has two relatively large sidewalk paths, secluded from car traffic, on both sides. It has good metal railings and dramatic views up and downstream. My darling wife and I like to walk on it and say hello to our eagle friends, one who is shy and one who isn't.

But I do not love this bridge. It is full of cars! And they are so loud and take up so much room and make it all worse (even if sometimes I am in one of those cars!). It is too big and noisy and windy and hard.

So I fixed it. Mostly.

Anyway it's better.

It looks like this now:

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
