Retirement

Around my house we have been discussing retirement a lot lately.

But don't worry, I won't be retiring from clerkmanifesto!

In fact, once I retire I'll be able to give it my all.

Just kidding. This, strangely, is already my all.

  1. i am finally chucking it in at 72. It's difficult to leave when you love your job.

    1. I like my job sometimes, or am fond of it, like with a charming, but deeply problematic pet I am responsible for. I suspect that I would possibly be constitutionally unable to love a job. So loving your job seems like a real accomplishment to me. I hope you find equal satisfaction in retirement.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
