More computer generated outrage

I in every way disagree. The position that was taken I found to be so unfounded as to be irresponsible, and people supporting these kinds of things can no longer be said to have a legitimate place in our discourse. It is about time that we saw through these dishonest fabrications that are clearly about serving the designs of other issues entirely. The people in charge need to know that we are quickly running out of patience, and I for one will no longer stand by idly on this matter. It is the future of the world itself that is imperiled by these rash adventures. And these self-involved, egoists who think they know what is best for everyone can not be trusted. How many times do we have to walk down this same path, learning nothing, compounding our errors over and over?

I don't think I can take it anymore.

I have never been so angry in all my life.

It is time to rethink the whole situation.

I am not unreasonable. I am not asking for a wholesale revolution. I do not yet urge a boycott. I know that there are people who are emotionally invested in this and there is room to work together. I respect differences of opinion and that people have sincerely held Religious beliefs, but we must be honest and forthright with each other. We must seriously consider the future. And there must be real change.

Soon our only options will be narrowed so tightly that the thing that is feared on both sides will make the issue resolvable in only one way. A way that will make no one happy.

It is time. Join with me in decrying this outrage. It is the first step towards healing and progress and working together. Thank you.

    1. Are you implying that I might not be a person by putting "person" in quotes?

I just think doing something like that in the midst of a flame war is just really...

      thoughtful.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
