How it's done
I do best when I don't take writing clerkmanifesto so seriously. Because the thing is that it takes itself so seriously that it needs no help from me.
I'm just saying I'm an innocent bystander here.
I have heard myths of legendary 20th Century writers who had to get drunk to write, but then wrote mighty prose on manual typewriters. I had a drink tonight at the Craftsman Restaurant. I can't remember the name of the drink, but there was a number in it. It was made with Cava and Sherry and lavender infused Gin and hibiscus and Elderflower Liqueur. They served it in a wide martini glass. I only spilled a little of it once, which is above average for me. It wore off awhile ago, so we will never know just how great this paragraph might have been. But that's not my responsibility.
I'm just in charge of showing up.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.
I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!
One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
