Our top blog post of 2015

The end of the year is a time for reflection. Blogs all across the world are looking back on the year that is ending, and they're thinking "What did we do right, and what did we do wrong?" Or they would be, if there were any other blogs out there, which there aren't. It's just me, the last blogger on the Internet.

But just because I am last doesn't mean I don't have to observe the forms.

Which is why after an exhaustive evaluation of all 365 of my blog posts from 2015 I am ready to announce what I have decided is my worst post of the year, and what I feel is my best post of the year. Perhaps in evaluating the best and worst of what I've done I can clarify my mission here, what I am aiming for, and how, sometimes, I fail.

So without further ado:

Our worst blog post of 2015:

And the sad winner in this category is:  Our top blog post of 2015

Our top blog post of 2015 was one of the last posts of the year for us. Overly self reverential it trotted out some of our oldest jokes, like the one about being the last blogger on the Internet. At least I think it's a joke. It may just be a result of poor surfing skills. "Top blog post" was one of those blurry satires that in the end only seemed to satirize itself, and though for a moment it defied the reader's expectation, in the end it only stole from said reader, who looked forward to an illuminating walk down memory lane, one that was frustratingly denied them with yet another word game, an almost paradox-like hall of mirrors pun ending that illuminated nothing.

So let's hope we'll see fewer posts like this in 2016, and more like:

Our top blog post of 2015 was one of the last posts of the year for us. Overly self reverential it trotted out some of our oldest jokes, like the one about being the last blogger on the Internet. At least I think it's a joke. It may just be a result of poor surfing skills. "Top blog post" was one of those blurry satires that in the end only seemed to satirize itself, and though for a moment it defied the readers expectation, in the end it only stole from said reader, who looked forward to an illuminating walk down memory lane, one that was frustratingly denied them with yet another word game, an almost paradox-like hall of mirrors pun ending that illuminated nothing.

So let's hope we'll see fewer posts like this in 2016, and more like:
