Comin' Back to Me

Oh hell, I don't do this usually, but if you can, go listen to this. I have always counted it as one of the most lovely and underrated of songs, Comin' Back to Me. Is it a ballad? I don't know. It's sad. That's good enough. It starts...

The Summer had inhaled and held its breath too long...

In my whole life I have never heard this song played on the radio, not even a few days ago when its author died.

It was written and sung by Marty Balin, the fifth most talented member of the band Jefferson Airplane. Which says an awful lot about that group.

And a little something about me, who would rank them.

It's not a contest you know.

And death is not a victory or a defeat.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
