I found out on Monday that it was the late David Bowie's birthday. He would have been 77. Having just made a couple of pictures of him, one of which you will have seen here, I decided to mock up one of those pictures to display at the front desk of my library.
This is it:
One of the librarians came across my tribute. "I saw your David Bowie birthday wishes." They said. "I was a little disappointed."
"Why's that?" I asked.
"Yesterday was Nicholas Cage's birthday and you didn't do anything."
"I AIN'T NO MONUMENT TO FREAKIN' JUSTICE!" I replied heatedly.
Presumably, they got it.
I was sad I missed the great actor's birthday too though, and immediately set to work on this:

Even if you do know, it's probably almost time for you to watch "Moonstruck" again.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
