The nursery rhyme solution

A long time problem patron was back at the library. The problem was being dealt with in a way best explained in yesterday's post. I have had a lot to do with this particular patron over the years, and I hardly counted him as the worst of difficult visitors. But, yes, there were real problems with this person, though they are a bit too identifying for me to describe here. I hadn't seen him for a while so I wandered out to see how he was handling being dealt with by "the authorities". He was almost calm, though steadfast in his troubled righteousness, but that's not what caught my attention.

He had put on some weight, and he had never been slender. But the weight he put on was... particular. It was distributed all over his torso and, as he sat there, seemed to dwarf his arms and legs. He looked... ovoid.

Ever wanting to be of assistance, a better solution to the issue occurred to me, and so I offered it to the nearby managers:

Perhaps we could just find him a wall to sit on.

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
