A stylistic flourish spreads its wings

Wait, wasn't I going to take all these millions of stray pictures and show them during extra innings, little special extra posts that wouldn't distract us from the grave and serious work of the daily clerkmanifesto?

I was.

And I have, a little bit, occasionally, so far.

But maybe this morning we can group a bunch together to celebrate a new style of pictures: Peanuts style.

But while I find these endlessly fascinating and could probably run variations on these for far longer than you might think or could happily tolerate, I am aware that these pictures do come into their own more when there's a bit of subject to look at in the picture.

Which is where these come into today's post:

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
