Too many possibilities

I referenced all this yesterday, when I spoke of a new leap in complex artificial intelligence image generators, and therefore in the burst of images I excitedly make with them, but this leap might have finally scrambled my brain.

It is not a situation of "What can I do with this?" but rather "What can't I do with this?" Yes, there are things that this techno wonder can't do, things it gets wrong, things it does not do well, but they are hard to get to! And along the way, in the experiments mostly with past work, but also with new work, I am piling up so many amazing things to show you that I hardly know where to begin.

When I first began with this I worked with style changes of my photos, which were a leap better than earlier iterations, though not a total revolution, but I hardly understood the wealth of what I could be doing.

I'm not sure I understand it yet.

I started with image descriptions, characters, text, and famous people, and it was so good at all of that I had to try it out on my dioramas.

I'm currently stuck in the dioramas because they're pretty close to everything I've been aiming for and almost every one I try ends up in a delightful surprise. It's not perfect, but it is now possible the last bits could be done in edits, and even still, these are already far ahead of my earlier ones. And though I'm pretty sure I'm just scratching the surface here, I feel I'd better trot out some examples before I'm positively buried under my creations.

Shadow Falls Creek with my Peanuts camera

I went out for one of my morning photography walks this morning and grabbed the first camera I could find when I was leaving. It was my Peanuts Camera.

My Peanuts Camera (no, it's not 'cheap', it takes pictures in the style of a Peanuts Cartoon strip), is not as colorful as some of my other cameras, or dramatic, but I feel it nicely conveys the simple peacefulness of the woods I walk in. Because of where I live, it is sweet to think that it is likely that Charles Schulz walked among these same views 75 or 100 years ago. If he drew them I think he would have done a nicer job of it than these, but perhaps these give a bit of his flavor...

I am a Peanuts character

Sure, I've always felt like a Peanuts character, but I didn't actually think I was a Peanuts character.

But the other day, shelving up in non fiction, the 700's to be precise, where we keep our sacred volumes of the complete Peanuts, in two year increments, I opened one of the volumes at random, and, voila!

How did I not notice this before?

I took a few pictures of little scenes from different strips. I apologise for these being a little out of context, they are just random photos of individual panels.

But tell me you don't see the resemblance between me and this character!

Bonus Peanut Pictures

I have talked a lot about Peanuts style pictures lately, and finally showed you this morning a vast array of famous albums in this new design style. They were cute. But as a bonus, here, now, are some of the other images I may have mentioned or referred to without showing them:

The Peanuts albums

Yesterday I announced a series of pictures done in a "Peanuts" or "Charles Schulz" style, but didn't get to it because I had so many "Dr. Seuss Style" pictures to show first. But with that done, I have pictures of all kinds right now in this charming Peanuts style, ranging from shots of the library, to a particularly darling portrait of an especially well-liked bald co-worker, all the way to pictures of Clerkmanifestoland.

But at some point I took a picture of a donated album we had randomly on display at the library (Abbey Road). I applied the style to that, and...

From there there was no looking back.

They're just so cute!

After ten album covers I decided maybe it was time to move along.

Here is the whole set:
