Just a few snails around town

Luckily, out in Saint Minneapolis, in the newborn Spring, there are tons of snails to photograph. This is important because what I want to take pictures of right now are snails, just snails.

There is something about snails racing about my city that is satisfying to me, and strangely endearing. And though I might have thought that seeing a snail the size of a Labrador, the size of a full grown person, or even the size of a large house, would be monstrous, I am delighted to find that they are merely... personable.

The cars we drive around all these streets in a roar of sublimated anger, spewing toxic gasses into the air, but take for granted, those are monsters in our midst. But giant snails?

I mean, just look at them!

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
