Election humor

In honor of Super Tuesday (I don't know who won, but I hope you do by now) I have decided to assemble all my favorite election day jokes. Nothing brings a divided country together like laughter!

1.

Someone gestures to my "I Voted" sticker. "I see you voted." They say.

"Seven times!" I reply. "It's really the process that I love."

2.

"How'd your voting go?" Someone asks me.

"I meant to vote for Bloomberg, but I think I accidentally voted for Coronavirus instead. I got confused by the wording."

3.

"This may be my last election." I proclaim.

"Oh, are these campaigns driving you crazy?"

"Yes. Yes they are. I think I'll probably be convinced I'm Emperor before there's another.

4.

"You voted!"

"Yes." I respond sadly. "But what point is there in my tiny vote among all the millions of votes?" I muse. "If only there were some way for my vote to count along with those of others!"

-------------------------------

Yes, laughter can bring this divided nation together! I'm sure that as soon as someone actually laughs at one of these jokes we will be healed.

  1. Well, I can't help with the healing, because I never got beyond a muted chuckle.

But thanks for the help with faxing/scanning. And the book I think you might like is The absolute at large by Karel Capex. I don't know why, but while I was reading I just kept thinking it might be your sort of book. It's short.

  2. I suspect muted chuckles are my bailiwick.

You're welcome and thank you for the suggestion. I have requested it. It looks right up my alley!

If you were wondering, yes, you should comment. Not only does it remind me that I must write in intelligible English because someone is actually reading what I write, but it is also a pleasure for me since I am interested in anything you have to say.

I respond to pretty much every comment. It's like a free personalized blog post!

One last detail: If you are commenting on a post more than two weeks old I have to go in and approve it. It's sort of a spam protection device. Also, rarely, a comment will go to spam on its own. Give either of those a day or two and your comment will show up on the blog.
